The Senator Gbenga Daniel (OGD), representing Ogun East, has sponsored at least 11 bills since taking office in 2023, aiming to fulfill his electoral promises and improve citizens welfare.
Speaking at a “Dialogue with Journalists” event organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State chapter, Senator Daniel highlighted his commitment to representing his constituents effectively.
The bills he sponsored include the South West Development Commission bill, Federal College of Aviation Technology, Terminal Illness Trust Fund, Media Practitioners Registration Council of Nigeria, Border Communities Development Agency (Amendment), National Agency for Science and Engineers infrastructure act (Amendment), Establishment of Hospices bill, Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Birthright citizenship), and Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Sovereign investment).
Senator Daniel emphasized the significance of the South West Development Commission bill, which he believes will boost the region’s economy upon passage.
As Chairman of the Committee on Navy and Vice Chairman of the Appropriation Committee, he encouraged his constituents and South West youth to leverage his network for their benefit.
Over 3,000 people have benefited from his empowerment schemes and medical initiatives, including free eye treatment, farmer support, and artisan training.
Senator Daniel’s efforts demonstrate his dedication to serving his constituents and improving their lives.
