…. As Senator adopts children, places family members on salaries
It was a solemn assembly from family, friends and sympathizers as the remains of the murdered longest serving aide of Senator Adeola Yayi was lowered to the mother earth.
The aide named Adeniyi Sanni was killed on the 5th of August this year after an encounter with security personnels believed to be men of Nigerian army at Ojudu Berger area of Ikeja while his body was later dumped at Oshodi area of Lagos.
The final home journey to the great beyound of the slain aide began on Tuesday with candlelight procession and later on Wednesday his body was seen leaving the military hospital yaba for a short church service at the Redemption camp situated at Mowe area of Ogun state and his body was later interred at the RCCG camp vault mowe along Lagos Ibadan express way.
Meanwhile the senator representing Ogun West Solomon Adeola has adopted the three children of his slain aide. Adeola who was represented by his director general of his campaign organization Barr. Babatunde Raji Label said that yayi has adopted the three children of the deceased with immediate effect.
Adeola who chairs the Senate committee on appropriation also noted that the welfare of the aged mother and the immediate family will be catered for by putting them on salary structure on a monthly basis.
Senator Adeola also disclosed that the trust fund he created with a donation and contributions from friends, associates and his colleagues has geared up to 55miillion naira in less than a week and it has been applied to pay for the children education in their present institution with adjustment for increases for the next six to ten years for the purpose of their education.
